No. 20 Lady Monarchs Lacrosse Falls To Temple, 10-5

NORFOLK, VA (March 19) - Twentieth-ranked Old Dominion University fell to #19 Temple, 10-5, March 19 at Foreman Field on the campus of Old Dominion University. With the loss, the Lady Monarchs fall to 2-3 overall (1-0 CAA). The Owls stand at 2-2 overall/1-0 Atlantic 10.

Freshman Marlaine Smith (Gaithersburg, Md.) paced the Old Dominion scoring attack with two goals on the afternoon. Danielle Hensil (Havertown, Pa.), Katie Heaney (King of Prussia, Pa.) and Dana Wisniewski (Collegeville, Pa.) Each added a goal.

The two teams played to a 3-3 tie at intermission before the Owls exploded for seven second-half goals.

Old Dominion will host CAA rival James Madison March 22 at 4 pm before taking to the road this weekend (at Maryland, at American).
