No. 36 Men's Tennis Falls At No. 3 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The No. 36 Old Dominion men's tennis six-game win streak came to a halt with a 5-2 loss at No. 3 Virginia on Wednesday afternoon.

The Monarchs captured their two points with wins by sophomore Alex Seleznev (Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic) and junior Eidy Igarashi (São José do Rio Preto, Brazil) in singles. Seleznev scored a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Dominic Inglot at No. 3 singles. The Cavaliers' Inglot was ranked 67th in the country. Igarashi posted a straight set 6-1, 6-2 vicotry over Houston Barrick at No. 4 singles.

The Old Dominion University men's tennis team returns to action on Friday, March 2nd when they participate in the National H.E.B. Team Tournament in Corpus Christi, Texas.
