Wrestling Takes on NC State in Road Finale

RALEIGH, N.C. - Old Dominion University wrestling hits the road for the final time in the regular season as they travel to NC State to take on the Wolfpack on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Old Dominion is 5-9-1 on the year, with five of the losses coming by four points or less. NC State comes into the match at 8-6.

The Monarchs are led by James Nicholson, who is 24-0 on the year and ranked fourth in the nation at 125 pounds. Kyle Hutter leads the team with 25 wins and is No. 12 at 133 pounds.

Sophomore Brennan Brumley became the third Monarch this season to reach 20 wins, joining Nicholson and Hutter, as he picked up his 20th win of the year on Sunday at Central Michigan.

NC State is led by 2009 NCAA Champion and two-time All-American, who is 8-0 and No. 1 in the nation at 149. Darrius Little comes into the weekend with a 22-7 record and No. 24 in the country at 141 pounds.

The Monarchs will finish the 2010-11 regular season with three-consecutive home matches. The stretch starts Feb. 10 at 8:30 against Virginia Tech. The first 500 fans will receive an ODU wrestling t-shirt and it will also be Spirit Night, as the loudest student organization will receive $500.
