2009 Old Dominion Football Highlight Video

NORFOLK, Va. -- Going through ODU football withdrawl? Relive the historic 2009 season all over again with the Monarch Highlight video now available on ODUSports.com and at Monarch All-Access.

Old Dominion resurrected its football program after 69 years to become the winningest FCS start-up program concluding its inaugural year in the championship subdivision at 9-2 overall.

The Monarchs finished the year ranked in the top ten in five statisical categories as a team included second in sacks allowed, third in scoring offense, turnover margin, and net punting, and ninth in rushing offense.

Individually, ODU had its first All-American named in punter Jonathan Pilsco as he was awarded first team honors from the Associated Press. Plisco led the nation in punt yardage averaging 44.84 yards per contst for the Monarchs. Quarterback Thomas DeMarco was also ranked in the top ten in scoring and was the second leading FCS signal caller in rushing.

From the celebrated kickoff versus Chowan, to the heartpounding first FCS victory against Jacksonville, to ensuring a winning season at Savannah State, to extending the win-streak to six in the season finale at VMI...watch the 2009 ODU Football season all over again. It certainly was a season to remember.
