HARRISONBURG, VA. (AP) (Feb. 25) -- Sharron Francis scored 9 of her 16 points during a 32-7 run in the second half on February 25 and No. 15 Old Dominion won its 97th consecutive game against Colonial Athletic Association competition, 84-64 against James Madison.

The Lady Monarchs (22-4, 14-0) have lost only once in their last 147 CAA games, an 87-80 setback against the Dukes during the 1994-95 season. They imporved to 3-0 since scoring and rebounding leader Lucienne Berthieu was sidelined with a shoulder injury.

James Madison (16-9, 9-5) actually led 38-35 after Mandy White opened the second-half scoring with a 3-pointer, but the Lady Monarchs turned up the heat and quickly ended the suspense.

Hamchetou Maiga and Kim Giddens each added 6 points during the run, which ended with Old Dominion in front 67-45 after two free throws by Francis with 7:17 remaining.

Maiga added 15 points and Natalie Diaz had 14.

White paced James Madison with 20 points and Molly Williams added 17.
