NORFOLK, VA -- The Old Dominion field hockey team slipped to number four in the latest STX/NFHCA Poll released on Tuesday morning. The Lady Monarchs (6-2 overall, 2-0 CAA) finished the week 1-1 blanking conference rival William and Mary, 4-0, but suffering a 0-2 setback to North Carolina.

The University of Maryland (6-1) once again claimed the top spot for the third consecutive week with 646 points and 16 first place votes. Michigan (7-1) moved up one place to number two with 631 points and seven first place votes, while Wake Forest (5-2) made the climb from fifth to third with 613 points and receiving eight first place votes.
