Women's 3 Meter Diving Kicks Off Day One of CAA Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. -- The 2010 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimming and Diving Championships got underway on Wednesday with women's 3 meter diving.

Junior Kelsey Thompson (Chesapeake, Va.) led the Lady Monarchs by placing 17th in the preliminaries, scoring a 203.15.

Also diving for Old Dominion on Wednesday were Megan Dross (Oakton, Va.) and Gretchen Schmitt. Dross took 19th in the prelims with a score of 171.00, while Schmitt scored a season-high 153.20 to take 21st in the prelims.

Action continues at the CAA Championships on 200 free relay, 500 free, 200 IM, 5 free, men's 1 meter diving, and 400 medley relay. To watch live results from your computer click here.
