Robinson, LaValle Place at ASICS FILA Junior Nationals

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Old Dominion University wrestlers Justin LaValle and Jerome Robinson placed at the 2011 ASICS FILA Junior Nationals.

Lavalle came in second in the 2011 ASICS FILA Junior Nationals in the 60 KG Greco-Roman division. He had a Bye in the first round, but then faced Alfredo Gray in the second round. Lavalle won this match 5-0 with a Pin at 0:54.

In the semi-final round, Lavalle took on Joey DeNova. Lavalle pinned DeNova in 1:16. In the final, he wrestled Jesse Thielke and was defeated on a 1-0, 1-0 decision to take second place.

Robinson competed in the 2011 ASICS FILA Junior Nationals in the Freestyle division at 55 KG/ 121.25 lbs. Robinson met Max Soria in the first round, whom he defeated 5-0 with a pin in 0:42.

In the second round, Robinson faced Freddie Rodriguez. Robinson won this match with a 7-0, 2-0 decision. Robinson was defeated in the quarter-finals by Jack Hathaway of Trojan Wrestling Club with a 1-0, 5-0 decision.

Robinson finished defeated Jenkins Monzey in his final match of the day to take seventh place.
