Delaware Defeats ODU, 3-1 For First Loss of the Season

NEWARK, DE--The University of Delaware (6-1-2/0-1) women's soccer team scored three first half goals to defeat Old Dominion (8-1/0-1 ), 3-1 Friday night. It was the Lady Monarchs first Loss of the season.

Delaware's first goal came from Alli D'Amico on an assist from Melissa Kilker. Delaware scored again midway in the first half as Kilker got her second assist as Emily Sammis headed one in. The Blue Hens final goal came with three minutes left in the half As Lindsay Boyd pushed one across in traffic.

ODU scored early in the second half as one of the Delaware defenders was trying to clear the ball, but it deflected of a teammate and into the net. ODU travels to Philadelphia On Sunday to play at Drexel. Game time is 3 p.m.
