ODU Men's and Women's Swimming Finish 6th at CAA Championships

FAIRFAX, VA -The Old Dominion men's and women's swimming teams both finished 6th at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, in Fairfax, VA, at the end of the four day competition. The women had a final score of 330, while the men had a score of 331. Highlighting the day for the women's side was a victory by Beatrice Szilard (Las Vegas, NV) in the 200 backstroke (2:01.59), Lauren Timby's (Rochester, NY) second place finish in the 1,650 freestyle (17:07.85) and Jessica Miller's (Fairfax, VA) 5th place in the 200 breaststroke (2:22.89). For the men, Michael DeNise (Midlothian, VA) and Nate Tschohl (Chesapeake, VA) each earned top five finishes in the 1,650 freestyle with times of 15:42.74 and 16:08.29, respectively. Tschohl also finished 4th in the 200 butterfly (1:53.36), while Tommy Dingus (Falls Church, VA) had a fifth place showing in the 3-meter diving competition (428.95 points).
