NORFOLK, Va. - The Colonial Athletic Association announced Tuesday that senior Te Edwards was named Wrestler of the Month for November while freshman Pete Baldwin earned Rookie of the Month honors.

Edwards (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) has started off this season at 8-1 with three wins over ranked opponents. He won the 174-pound weight class at the Hokie Open on Nov. 6. The senior won two of three matches against top-10 opponents this season from No. 18 Iowa State in No. 7 Chris Spangler and No. 8 Turtogtokh Luvsandorj from The Citadel while also pinning 24th-ranked Thomas Ferguson from North Carolina. Edwards is ranked seventh by AWN, ninth by InterMat and 10th by WIN.

The Monarchs return to action this weekend when they hit the road to face No. 14 Rutgers on Dec. 2 and then travel to Princeton and begin conference action at Rider on Dec. 3.
