Golf Team Suffers Minor Injuries In Two-Car Accident

NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion University athletic director Jim Jarrett confirmed today that several members of the men's golf team suffered minor cuts and Bruises on Tuesday as a result of an automobile accident on Interstate 95 North in Lumberton, NC, as they were returning from the Raines Intercollegiate tournament in Florence, SC.

The University van was hit twice by a passing vehicle. The driver, head coach Murray Rudisill, and several of the team members suffered cuts and bruises and were taken to Lumberton Southwest Hospital and released last night. The team returned home to Norfolk on Wednesday after spending the night in Lumberton.
