HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - Alex Loughton scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Wednesday night to lead Old Dominion to a 71-57 win over James Madison.

After Old Dominion fell behind early in the second half, John Waller made two of his five 3-pointers during a 17-4 run to give the Monarchs (14-8, 9-4 Colonial Athletic Association) a 52-41 lead with 11:00 remaining.

Daniel Freeman scored 16 for James Madison, including a layup to finish an 8-2 spurt that got the Dukes (7-15, 3-10) within 58-52, but James Madison could get no closer.

The Monarchs answered with a 9-0 run, Waller getting five of his 18 points in the burst. Isaiah Hunter scored 15 for the Monarchs, who outrebounded James Madison 46-26.

Dwayne Broyles scored 15 points for the Dukes, and Chris Williams added 10.
