Men's Tennis Duo Ends NCAA Run

ATHENS, GA -- After a lengthy rain delay at the NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Tournament, Old Dominion's junior Zoltan Csanadi (Timisoara, Romania) and sophomore Izak van der Merwe (Kempton Park, South Africa) fell in the first round of play to Georgia's team of Nicholas Boeker and Bo Hodge in three sets.
The Monarch tandem, appearing in their first ever NCAA Tournament and ranking 15th in the latest ITA Poll, took the first set 6-3, but went on to drop the next two sets to their hosts, 6-4, 7-5.
Csanadi and van Der Merwe finish the year with a 21-5 overall mark having captured the ITA Region II Championship as well at the Virginia Tournament Title. The First Team All-CAA selections also reached the finals of the ITA National Indoor Championships.
