NORFOLK, Va. - Northeastern's Greta Samuelsdottir scored on a penalty kick just 34 seconds into overtime to give the Huskies a 2-1 win over Old Dominion University women's soccer Sunday afternoon.

Old Dominion (4-13, 2-7) tied the score at one in the 73rd minute as Jessie Klamut sent in a cross pass from the right side to Jordan Jones whose shot went off the right post but Taylor Smith was there to put the rebound shot just inside the right post to tie the score.

In overtime, the NU (7-10, 6-3) got the ball first and took the ball into the ODU end where an NU player was fouled in the box to set up the game-winning penalty kick.

The teams were scoreless in the first half and it stayed that way until Samuelsdottir scored on a header off a corner kick from Oksana Nicholls.

ODU had a solid chance in the ninth minute as Kelly Evans fired a shot that went off the right post.

In the 34th minute, Samuelsdottir just missed for NU as her shot hit the cross bar.
