Monarchs Host EA Sports All-Stars Sunday at 4 p.m.

NORFOLK, VA. - The Old Dominion University men's basketball squad plays host to the E.A. Sports All-Stars Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Ted Constant Convocation Center. This exhibition contest will be the Monarchs first opponent since their tour of London back on Oct. 12 & 13.
Celebrating their fifth anniversary, the EA Sports All-Stars are a five- squad franchise of former college and professional basketball players who travel the country each fall facing the nation's top college basketball teams in pre- season competition. This year's team (East All-Stars) will feature Mike Chappell (6-7, F.) from Michigan State, Rickey Price (6-5, G) from Duke, Lonnie Jones (7-0, C.) from Ball State and Paul Shirley (6-8, C.) from Iowa State.
Thus far, EA Sports has played five games, defeating Virginia Tech, 86-82, losing to Xavier (100-63) , Louisville (90-78), Tennessee (110-83), and Western Kentucky (76-67). They play at St. John's Saturday night , then travel to Cincinnati on Nov. 11.
This year's ODU roster will feature five freshmen, and four sophomores along with returning seniors John Waller (Richmond, VA.) and Troy Nance (Virginia Beach, VA.). Waller, Nance and sophomore center Alex Loughton (Perth, Australia) will be the Monarch co-captains this season.
The Monarchs final exhibition game will be Saturday, Nov. 15 against Lithuania. ODU's regular season opener is at North Carolina on Nov. 22.
