WILLIAMSBURG, VA (April 15, 2000) -- The second-seeded Old Dominion men's tennis team was upset by third-seeded William and Mary, 4-0 on April 15 at McCormack-Nagelson Tennis Center in Williamsburg in the first semifinal of the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Tennis Tournament. The match was moved indoors from Byrd Park in Richmond due to inclement weather.
Old Dominion was swept in straight sets in the four completed singles matches, solidifying the victory for William and Mary. The Monarchs, who topped the Tribe in the final week of regular season play, were unable to muster up momentum and fell in the second, third, fourth, and sixth singles matches. With the loss, the Monarchs finish the season at 16-8.
