Harris Edged In Sudden Death Playoff

SOUTHERN PINES, NC- Old Dominion University junior Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England) lost a one hole sudden-death playoff to Kyle Willmann in the first annual Mid Pines Intercollegiate golf tournament. As a team, the Monarchs finished fifth(859). Texas Tech won the event with a 54-hole score of 844.

Harris, and Wilmman finished the third round at a 10-under 206 forcing the playoff. Willmann parred the first hole to win the medalist title. Senior Michael Hospodar (Ontario, Canada) finished 17th with a 214 for 54 holes.

Old Dominion returns to action to compete in the Carolina First Intercollegiate in Florence, SC., Sept. 24-25.
