Becker & Vendegh Earn Spots On Soccer America's Team Of The Week

Norfolk, VA- Old Dominion University soccer players Emily Becker (Va. Beach, VA) and Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia) have earned spots on Soccer America's "Team of the Week" for September 10-16.

Vendegh earned the honor after posting his second career hat-trick against Syracuse on Saturday. The sophomore forward followed that up with two more goals against High Point on Monday, bringing his total to nine goals and one assist through five games.

Becker, who is the first ever Lady Monarch soccer player to earn a spot on the women's "Team of the Week", scored two second half goals against Towson on Sunday to propel ODU to a 2-1 come-from-behind win. She is currently tied for the lead in team scoring with teammate Melanie McGovern (Somerdale, NJ).

The Lady Monarchs will be in action tonight, when they host CAA foe Virginia Commonwealth at 7 p.m. The men's side will be in action this Saturday, when they host American at 7 p.m.
