Unbeaten Lady Monarchs Begin CAA Play On The Road

NORFOLK, VA-- The unbeaten Lady Monarchs (8-0) begin CAA play this weekend when they travel to Delaware (5-1-2) on Friday and Drexel (2-3-1) on Sunday.

ODU ranks seventh in the SOCCER BUZZ Mid Atlantic poll and eighth in the coaches NSCAA/adidas regional poll.

ODU leads the CAA in fewest goals allowed (0.24), shutouts (6), goals scored 25. Delaware is second in the CAA in goals scored with 17.

Sophomore Shavon Knight leads ODU with 21 points on eight goals and five assists, while junior Katie Watson leads the team in goals with nine and is second in total points with 20. Both Knight and Watson rank second nationally with a 2.86 points per game average, while Watson leds the nation with a 1.29 goals per game average.

Sophomore Lauren Tupman and the ODU defense has only allowed two goals this season. Tupman has a 0.26 goals against average. Tupman ranks sixth in the nation with her goals against average and seventh in save percentage.

ODU plays at Delaware Friday at 7 p.m., then on Sunday at Drexel at 3 p.m.
