Monarch Golfers Place Eighth At Matlock Invitational

LAKELAND, Fla.-- Sophomore Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England) shot a 77 today to finish tied for 14th and lead the Monarchs of Old Dominion to eighth place in the 18-team Matlock Invitational. The tournament was held at the Grasslands Golf Course.

As a team, the Monarchs shot 935 in the 54-hole event. Host Florida Southern won the tournament with a 903.

Freshman Robert Fournier (E.Greenwich, RI.) tied for 24th with a 235, while Michael Hospodar (Ontario, Canada) tied for 30th at 237, Tony Sarko (Allentown, Pa.) Tied for 34th with a 238 and Chris Piercy (Reading, England) was 40th with a 239. Old Dominion travels to Greenville, NC. To compete in the Ironwood Intercollegiate March 11-13.
