Lady Monarchs Swimming Splits Last Event While Men's Squad Drops Two

Final Stats

The Old Dominion swimming and diving teams competed against Marist and the University of Maryland-Baltimore County at UMBC on Saturday in their last competition before the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships. Both ODU teams fell to the hosts, but the women's team dropped Marist while the men fell to the Red Foxes.

The Retrievers defeated the ODU women, 175-133, and men, 191-98. The Lady Monarchs recorded a 175-118 defeat over the Red Foxes, who topped the Monarchs 208-91.

With the two losses the Monarchs fall to 3-8 on the year as the Lady Monarchs stand at 4-9 heading in the conference meet.

Jessica Miller was the only event winner on the day for ODU, capturing first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:12.05.

Old Dominion will now prepare for the CAA Championship hosted by George Mason on February 19-22.
