NORFOLK, VA. -- The Philadelphia 76ers and the New Orleans Hornets will meet in a National Basketball Association preseason game at the Ted Constant Convocation Center, Monday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. It will also mark the return of ODU great Kenny Gattison ('86), an assistant coach with the Hornets.

The Constant Center is managed by Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of the 76ers parent company Comcast-Spectacor.

"We are thrilled to have the 76ers come to the Constant Convocation Center," said Doug Higgons, Global Spectrum's General Manager of the Constant Convocation Center. "Being under the Comcast-Spectacor umbrella enables us tremendous opportunities like bringing the 76ers to Norfolk, and we're proud to present them to our fans."

"Bringing the Philadelphia 76ers to some of our Global Spectrum facilities is a great opportunity for us to work with our parent company, Comcast-Spectacor," said Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King. "We're looking forward to coming into Allen Iverson's home town area of Hampton Roads. The Constant Center is a tremendous basketball facility and we're looking forward to bringing 76ers basketball to Norfolk."

Ticket information will be announced shortly.
