James Madison Comes From Behind To Top William and Mary, 2-1, in Second CAA Tournament Semifinal

NORFOLK, Va. (Nov. 4) -- The third-seeded James Madison Dukes used a come-from-behind effort to topple #2 seed William and Mary, 2-1, Saturday afternoon in the second semifinal game of the Colonial Athletic Association Field Hockey Tournament at Foreman Field on the campus of Old Dominion University. James Madison improves to 12-8 overall while the Tribe ends their season with a 12-7 mark.

James Madison capitalized on an early lead with a 1-0 margin at the half. Amy Ziegenfuss (Newtown Square, Pa.) gave the Dukes a slim 1-0 edge with a rebound putback on a corner play at the 16:07 mark. In the second half, the Tribe tied the game with a corner goal from Katie Uhran (Morristown, NJ) at the 16:11 mark. She was assisted on the play by Kristen Southerland (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Kathy DeJong (Annandale, Va.). Senior Liz Sanders (Waynesboro, Pa.) connected for the win at the 9:15 mark.

James Madison will take on top-seeded Old Dominion Sunday in the championship game at 1 pm. The Lady Monarchs blanked Va. Commonwealth, 8-0, in the first semifinal game of the day.
