Sailors In Second At Coed Dinghy Nationals

HONOLULU, HI - The Old Dominion University sailing Monarchs are in second place, 11 points behind host University of Hawaii after the first day of sailing at the 2002 Intercollegiate Sailing Association North American Coed Dinghy National Championships.
The Monarchs A division boat of Brad Funk (Harbor Bluffs, FL.), Liz Biondi (Norwalk, CT.) were third with 40 points, while the B division boat of Matt Allen (Beverly, MA.), Anna Cobb (Mechanicsville, VA.) and Jack Kerr (Seattle, WA.) are also third with 32 points. The Monarchs had one first, three second place finishes on the day.
Boston College is in third with 73 points, and Tufts is fourth with 74. There will be a full day of racing tomorrow. ODU captured the Women's Sailing national championships last weekend and took sixth in the team race championships.
