SERIES VS. UNC WILMINGTON ODU leads 29-18. UNCW defeated the Monarchs, 65-50 back on Jan. 16 in Wilmington. DeShawn Painter led ODU with 18 points and eight rebounds along with Richard Ross 11 points. Keith Rendleman and Chris Dixon both scored 14 points. Rendleman added 13 rebounds. UNCW last beat ODU in Norfolk in 2007-08, 68-65.

LAST GAME ODU freshman Aaron Bacote scored a career high 20 points and DeShawn Painter added 16 with 10 rebounds, but the Monarchs lost to W&M, 74-62 Saturday afternoon. ODU shot .500 from the field For the first time this season, but W&M outrebounded the Monarchs 33-29. Marcus Thornton led the Tribe with a career high 32 points.

EXTRA MONARCH NOTES Jim Corrigan won his first game as a Collegiate Head Coach vs. Drexel Richard Ross has blocked 27 shots the past 9 games(5 vs. GSU,Towson & Mason). Dimitri Batten and Aaron Bacote dished out career high six assists vs. Mason. Donte Hill played 40 minutes at JMU and four Monarchs played 30 or more in that game. DeShawn Painter has nine double-doubles this year Dimitri Batten scored 25 vs. Northeastern and 23 vs. Virginia.

Kent Bazemore UPDATE The two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Year, Kent Bazemore has appeared in 34 games Thus far for the Golden State Warriors. He is currently averaging 1.5 points per game. He scored a Career high 11 points against OKC on Feb. 6. He scored 9 points (4-8 FG) along with 2 rebounds, 3 assts and two steals in a career high 30 minutes in a win over Cleveland. He also played 30 minutes with six points against Houston. Kent scored six points, four rebounds with five assists against Miami on Jan. 16 in 18 minutes. Bazemore is averaging 1.3 ppg.
