Final Stats

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Lisa Bernardini scored in the first half but Hofstra scored two second half goals to lead the Pride to a 2-1 win over Old Dominion Sunday afternoon in Hempstead.

Old Dominion (6-8-2, 3-4-1) got on the board first in the 31st minute when Victoria Johnson sent a cross from the right through to Bernardini who scored in front of the goal for her sixth goal of the season.

Hofstra (7-7, 3-5) tied the score just 32 seconds into the second half when Sam Scolarici sent a low liner from the right side into the post to make the score 1-1.

Laura Greene scored the eventual game-winner in the 62nd minute off a through ball from Brittany Butts for the 2-1 advantage.

Hofstra held a 24-8 shot advantage and a 10-4 edge in corner kicks. Bernardini led ODU with three shots while Greene had eight for the Pride.

Brianna Alvarado stopped a season-high 10 saves in goal for ODU while Emily Morphitis made four stops for Hofstra.

The Lady Monarchs continue their road trip next Friday when they travel to VCU.
