Sept. 28, 2002
The Old Dominion women's soccer team played Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) foe James Madison to 0-0 tie on Saturday night before a crowd of 301 at the Old Dominion Soccer Stadium. Kristen Bailey (Hamilton, VA) made a career high twelve saves in goal as the Monarchs earned their second shutout in as many games.

Maura Linz (Prospect, KY) was able to get five shots off for the Lady Monarchs, who took 16 as a team. Jessica Husey made eight stops for James Madison.
The Dukes had two late goals nullified in the match that helped ODU earn the tie in their first conference match of the season. With 9:48 remaining in regulation JMU lost their first goal when the ball was called out before they scored. At the 99:55 mark a successful corner kick was erased because they were offsides. Saracino also had several chances throughout the match sending shots off the crossbar.
Old Dominion (2-5-1/0-0-1) will be back in action on Wednesday as they hit the road for five straight games. They will travel across the water to face another CAA foe William and Mary at 7:00 p.m.
