FAIRFAX, VA (AP) - Tony Skinn and Will Thomas both scored 16 points to lead George Mason to a 66-47 win over Old Dominion on Saturday.

The Patriots (15-5, 9-2 Colonial Athletic Association) took control by shooting 75 percent from the field in the first half, which helped build a 42-19 halftime lead.

Skinn scored 14 of his points in the first half, and helped force Old Dominion (15-6, 8-3) into a season high 20 total turnovers.

Old Dominion ended the game with two fewer field goals (18) than turnovers, and its top three scorers -- Isaiah Hunter, Alex Loughton and Arnaud Dahi -- combined for just 13 points.

Valdas Vasylius scored 13 points to lead the Monarchs, who won this year's earlier meeting, 54-53, on a 3-pointer with 0.7 seconds left in the game.

The Patriots didn't give Old Dominion a chance to steal a late victory on Saturday. They held a 20-9 lead midway through the first half and Folarin Campbell's layup three minutes into the second half gave George Mason its biggest lead of the game at 46-21.

Sophomore guard Abdi Lidonde (Sutton, MA.) came off the bench to play a career high 23 minutes, score eight points and come up with two steals.

Junior guard Drew Williamson scored in double figures for the sixth time this year with 11 points. He also came up with three of ODU's 11 steals.

The Monarchs return to action on Thursday in Hempstead, NY when they travel to Hofstra.
