No. 11 Lady Monarch Sailors In Third After First Day of USF Women's Intersectional

St. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The 11th ranked ODU Lady Monarch sailors opened the spring season in third place after the first day of sailing at the USF Women's Intersectional today, as both divisions finished just four heats. The B division sailors finished ahead of the fleet twice and added a third top five finish for 13 points.

The B division boat finished second in B division with 13 points, one behind the Stanford boat leading the division.

The A division boat also had three top five finishes on the first day, with a high of third place in the fourth heat. Currently in fourth in A division, the Lady Monarchs are just nine points back of the Navy sailors in the lead.

The team returns to the water on Sunday to finish off the first event of the spring season.
