Key, a defensive standout helped lead nearby Phoebus High School to a 25-3 record as he averaged 9.3 points, 4.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. "ODU is a great fit for me and my family," said Key. "The school is close to home, the campus life is great and the people at ODU are outstanding. I want to be the best leader I can be."

TAYLOR ON KEY "The more we observed Breon the more we felt he was a solid fit for us. He has bonus size and speed. I think he will be a very coachable young man and quite honestly, I was drawn to a little tougher guy and that is exhibited by the fact he plays football. We will have Breon at the guard position and with his size and length he will fit into a lot of our defensive schemes as well as being a good shooter."

JAMES DANIELS ON KEY "I think ODU and Breon is a great fit and I'm so proud of him. He will bring another dimension to Monarch basketball. We have been treated to a great young man and basketball player and Old Dominion will also be in for the same treat."
