Career: Expected to make an immediate impact as a graduate student in both the Monarch lineup and national rankings...Anticipated starter at 174 pounds, beat NCAA quarterfinalist Imad Kharbush of Stanford twice last season...During his high school campaign he was a three-time state champion in Texas (1999-2001), Hansen was selected three-times for All-State (1999-2001) and All-American (1998-2001) honors...Under the guidance of head coach Frank Holleran, Hansen helped lead the Rangers of Jesuit College Prep. to the Texas Prep. State Championship title in 2001...Among his honors, Hansen was selected as the team's Most Outstanding Wrestler (1998-99), Most Valuable Wrestler (1999-2000, 2000-01), second team All-Area (1998-99), first team All-Area (1999-2000, 2000-2001), and the 2001 Intermat Honorable Mention All-American.

Off the Mat: Born Sept. 1, 1982...Son of Bob and Leslie Hansen...Has one brother, Trey (24) who also wrestled at Jesuit Prep and played baseball for Rhodes College and Columbia University...
