ODU Monarch Dance Team

The Monarch Dynasty Dance Team has been recognized as one of the most active and spirited organizations on campus. The dance team is comprised of students who are committed to one another and to promoting spirit within and outside of the university. The squad performs at all home football, and men's and women's basketball games. Throughout the year, the Dynasty dancers perform for additional sporting events, appear at public events and school functions and travel to Conference USA and NCAA tournaments.

Members of the Dynasty Dance team must have a 2.0 GPA or higher each semester. Stipends are available for dance team members who maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher each semester. Members are to complete weekly workouts in the Sports Performance center, as well as attend weekly practices. All incoming freshmen,  intending to tryout  in the Spring, are asked to avoid night classes and must have Monday, Wednesday and Thursday free from 6:00 - 9:00PM (exceptions are made for members with required classes in major area of study). All dancers are required to actively participate in community service and fundraising efforts for the Spirit Squad Program.

Along with ODU athletic games, the Dynasty Dancers perform at numerous university, public and private events. If you are interested in the dance team performing at your event click Here for and fill out the Dance Team Appearance Form.
