CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Old Dominion University senior kicker Jarod Brown was named to the watch list for the College Football Performance Awards Place Kicker Award, the CFPA announced on Monday.
Brown set an FCS record for most extra points made in a season, going 73-for-73 on point after attempts. He also was 10-for-12 in field goal attempts, including a career long tying 51-yarder in the season opener against Duquesne. A native of Yorktown, Va., Brown connected on a pair of field goals, including the game-winning 25-yard kick in the victory over New Hampshire.
The senior was named First-Team All-CAA kicker last season and earned all-conference honors in 2010. Brown also excelled on kickoffs, finishing ninth in the country with 30 touchbacks last season.
