Beginning in the fall of 2013, and Monarch Media will present a weekly Monarch Spotlight that gives fans a chance to learn more about their favorite student-athletes at Old Dominion. The latest installment of Monarch Spotlight narrows in on senior women’s soccer player, Nikki Clarke.

Nikki has pulled off a cumulative GPA of a 3.78 throughout her first three years of college, while double majoring in criminal justice and sociology, with a minor in psychology. Nikki has been named to the Dean's List every semester (all six) while at Old Dominion. Clarke's diligence in the classroom is contagious as she helped elevate the team's APR score to 995.

Nikki has played in every single game during her three plus seasons with the Lady Monarchs, totaling 58 consecutive games (and counting). Nikki has been instrumental in anchoring ODU's back-line of defense. Last season as a junior defender, Nikki dished out three assists and netted one goal for the Lady Monarchs. This season, she has already been named to the 2013 JMU All-Tournament Team.

The Lady Monarchs return to the pitch tomorrow night at 7 p.m. as they host George Washington at the ODU Soccer Complex.
