Wilder Plays in Charity Bowl, $150,000 Raised for The Joy Fund
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Old Dominion University Head Football Coach Bobby Wilder played in the 46th annual Charity Bowl Saturday afternoon at Landstown High School in Virginia Beach. The event raied $150,000 for the Joy Fund, a non-profit which provides toys during the holidays to underprivileged children in Hampton Roads.
Wilder played alongside former San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots tight End Bob Windsor, and played against former NFL All-Pro William Fuller, and former NFL'er, Ed Bears.
The Toyota Charity Bowl Football Game started in 1968 and is the longest-lasting charity football game in the country.
