McEntire Named College Sports Madness Preseason C-USA Freshman of the Year

NORFOLK, Va. – Rachel McEntire of the Old Dominion women’s soccer team was named the Preseason Conference USA Freshman of the Year by College Sports Madness.

McEntire, a 5’7” midfielder, comes to Old Dominion from Springfield, Va. where she attended West Springfield High School.

The Lady Monarchs are fresh off a 1-0 victory over UMBC in their only exhibition match leading up to ODU’s 2014 regular season opener against Liberty this Fri., Aug. 22, at 7:00 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
