Sailing Takes Second at C.J. Woollum Race

Old Dominion University sailing finished second at the C.J. Woollum team race and 11th at the Graham Hall team race over the weekend.

At C.J. Woollum's race, the squad of Jeremy Herrin, Andrew Baird, Ethan Lounsbury, Jocelyn Rovniak, Anne Van Der Sangen and Molly Sternberg finished with a 10-5 race record that put them in second place.  In the first of the three rounds the Monarchs went 4-1 and the second and third rounds went 3-2 to end with a 10-5 record.

ODU finished 11th at the Graham Hall race with a 6-9 race record. The team featured Esteban Forrer, Daniel Lochner, Jacob Spracher, Joseph David, Gabriel Smith, Carter Little, Grace Mason and Katelyn Talley.  The Monarchs lost their first eight races of the day but came back and finished the event by winning six of their final seven races.
