Former Monarch, Alan Schulte, Inducted into Indiana Golf Hall of Fame

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Former Old Dominion University men's golfer and ODU Hall of Famer Alan Schulte was recently inducted into the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame.

Schulte captured two Sun Belt Conference individual championships, winning back- to-back titles in 1984 and 1985. As a sophomore in 1983, he placed fourth at the Sun Belt Championships. He was incucted into the ODU Hall of Fame in 2002.

He won the Campbell and the ODU/Seascape Collegiate tournaments in 1983-84. As a team, he helped lead the Monarchs to three straight second place finishes at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in 1983, 84 and 85. The Monarchs finished second at the 1984-85 Virginia Intercollegiate State Championships and won the State title in 1983-84.
