Football Completes 2018 Recruiting Class

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University football added Elijah Davis and Jack Hassard to the 2018 recruiting class, ODU head coach Bobby Wilder announced on Wednesday.
“The Old Dominion Football Family is pleased to add Elijah Davis and Jack Hassard to our previous 17 student-athletes we signed on December 20, 2017,” Wilder said. “This class has tremendous size and position flexibility. Our coaches were focused on adding as many two-way players that could bring value in multiple areas to our team. We will continue to recruit and hopefully add to this class in the coming months.”
Elijah Davis – 5-10, 210 – RB – Lynchburg, Va./Heritage
A three-star recruit by 247 sports … Ranked as the No. 30 recruit in Virginia and No. 97 running back in the country … Three-time all-state and all-conference honoree … Rushed for 6,690 yards in his career at Heritage, the most career rushing yards in Virginia High School history … His 3,670 rushing yards were the most by a high school player in the country this season … Broke the Virginia High school record for most points in a season … Added 61 touchdowns as a senior … Helped Heritage to the state championship game as a senior … Rushed for 229 yards and a touchdown in the state championship game … Earned first-team All-Area honors and was All-Area Offensive Player of the Year as a senior … A V7 All-American.
