Women's Golf Heads to Florida for UNF Collegiate

NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's golf team will compete in the UNF Collegiate at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club this week. The tournament begins on Monday with 36 holes and then concludes on Tuesday with the final 18.

Live scoring for the tournament will be available on GolfStat.

This will be the third tournament of the spring for ODU. The Monarchs placed 12th at the UCF Challenge to open the spring and then finished as runner-ups at the Moon Golf Invitational two weeks ago, an event in which they were picked to finish eighth.

Senior Maggie Simmermacher, who is the 94th-ranked player in the nation, led ODU at the Moon Golf Invitational, tying for 10th overall.

Katerina Vlasinova, ranked 139th, and Abigail Portyrata, ranked 157th, also appear in the national individual rankings for ODU. As a team, the Monarchs are ranked 54th.
