NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 32 nationally ranked Old Dominion men’s tennis team will take on No. 29 South Carolina in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. EST in Winston Salem, N.C., which will be hosted by Wake Forest University.
The winner of Old Dominion/South Carolina will take on the winner of No. 1 Wake Forest/Navy on Sunday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m.

The Monarchs fell to South Carolina by a 6-1 score earlier this season on Feb. 11 at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
South Carolina (18-8, 7-5 SEC) finished the regular season winning its final five home matches and six of its last seven matches overall, posting the first back-to-back winning seasons in SEC play in the program's history.
This marks ODU’s second NCAA Tournament appearance, as its first came in 2007.
Old Dominion climbed as high as No. 25 in the national rankings this season after taking down No. 14 Dartmouth (4-1) and No. 24 Utah (4-0). The Monarchs claimed the first conference title for the program since 1994.
Old Dominion enters the NCAA Tournament with a 19-6 overall record and went a perfect 6-0 against C-USA opponents. In the C-USA Tournament, ODU outscored its opponents 12-0.
The Tennis Monarchs have claimed victory in 13 of their last 14 matches, while outscoring their opponents 56-17 during that stretch. ODU is also riding an 11-match win-streak in which the Monarchs have outscored their opponents 46-12.
