NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University men’s tennis head coach Dominik Mueller announced the addition of Federico Rebecchini and Nicola Vidal to the roster on Wednesday afternoon. Rebecchini and Vidal will join the team in January and be eligible to compete as freshmen for the spring season.

Together, Rebecchini and Vidal won a Grade 4 ITF Juniors doubles tournament in Austria.

“I’m super thrilled to have Federico and Nicola join us in January,” said Mueller. “I immediately knew when I visited them in Verona this summer that they would be a perfect fit for our culture and what we are trying to grow here. They come from great families that care about them and their futures, which became very obvious in the recruiting process. Their tennis talent is without a doubt very high and I can’t wait for them to make an immediate impact on our success in the spring. I love the fact that they are good friends and that they had success together as a doubles pair. It will make their transition much easier.”
