The 25th-ranked Old Dominion field hockey team hits the road for contests at Big East foe Temple along with American this weekend.

ODU takes on Temple on Friday at 6 p.m. ET and then American on Sunday at noon.

The Monarchs are 6-1 in games away from Norfolk this season, including a 4-1 mark in true road games. However, Old Dominion has dropped five straight matches after opening the season with a seven-game winning streak. Three of the five losses during that stretch have come to ranked opponents.

As a team, ODU is averaging over two goals per game, while holding opponents to 1.8 per game.

Individually, Erin Huffman and Rebecca Birch lead the team in scoring with 16 points apiece. Huffman and Birch both have seven goals and two assists. In the cage, Lacey Frazier, Cam MacGillivray and Kealsie Robles have each posted a shutout and have combined for a 1.80 goals against average.

ODU is 21-4-1 all-time against Temple and 30-4 versus American.

Temple is winless in Big East play, suffering lop-sided losses to Liberty and UConn and one-goal defeats to Providence and Georgetown. The Owls' lone wins on the year have come over Lafayette and Towson. Kathryn Edgar is the team's leading scorer with seven points on two goals and three assists.

American enters the weekend on a three-game winning streak, having scored 16 goals during that stretch. For the season, American is averaging over three goals per game. The Eagles' four losses have all come against ranked teams. Noor Coenen leads the team in points with 16.
