NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team will take on its first ranked opponent of 2018-19 when the Monarchs travel to No. 13 NC State on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
The game will be streamed on WatchESPN via ACC Network Extra. It will also be aired on ESPN 94.1 radio featuring commentary from Doug Ripley and Susan Montgomery.
Old Dominion has now had a week of rest and preparation for the 13th-ranked Wolfpack, after Thursday's game against Longwood was cancelled due to a campus bomb threat.
Most recently, ODU was crowned Buccaneer Classic Champions in Charleston after defeating Jacksonville and Tennessee Tech in the Charleston Southern-hosted tournament.
Dejah Carter had a breakout performance in Charleston, averaging 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in the two games, en route to Tournament MVP honors. Aziah Hudson also landed on the All-Tournament Team, after averaging 15.5 points per game.
For the season, Hudson, Victoria Morris, Ajah Wayne and Taylor Edwards are all averaging double figures for ODU. Morris leads the team at 15.7 per game, while Wayne is nearly averaging a double-double with 15.2 points and 9.7 rebounds.
As a team, the Monarchs are scoring 75.5 points per game, an over 20-point increase from last season, while committing just 12.7 turnovers per game, which is the 17th-best rate in the country.
ODU's last win over a ranked opponent came in 2009, when the Monarchs defeated No. 16 Virginia.
ABOUT #13 NC STATE
The Wolfpack are off to a 7-0 start, including wins over Vanderbilt, Michigan State and Michigan. NC State is averaging 73.9 points per game and outrebounding opponents by an average of 9.7 boards per game. Four players average double figures, led by former Charlotte star Grace Hunter's 15.4.
ODU leads the all-time series, 21-14. However, the Wolfpack have won the last three meetings, including a 73-56 victory last season in Norfolk.
