Barry Kornblau, an Old Dominion alumnus from Richmond, has donated $3 million to help pay for the $67.5 renovation of S.B. Ballard Stadium.

It is the largest donation to ODU athletics in 13 years, and comes on top of a recent $1.5 million donation from Dennis Ellmer to help fund a new club at the stadium. It will be known as the Priority Automotive Club. Ellmer, a Norfolk native, founded and is CEO and President of Priority Automotive.

Kornblau is a 1971 graduate of ODU who served three terms on the ODU Board of Visitors and various other athletic and academic boards. He has donated $2 million over the years to ODU's baseball program and endowed the first scholarship at the school in 2009. He also has endowed a scholarship in the Strome School of Business for Real Estate.

Kornblau is to be honored just before halftime of the ODU's men's basketball game tonight between the Monarchs and William at Mary. Tipoff at the Ted Constant Center is 7 p.m.

He will be interviewed over the ODU Sports Radio Network at halftime.
