Bradley Named C-USA Spirit of Service Award Recipient

NORFOLK, Va. - Deirdre Bradley (Newtown Square, Pa.), a redshirt senior on the Old Dominion women’s soccer team, received the Conference USA Spirit of Service Award on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by league officials.

The C-USA Spirit of Service Award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league's student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport.

Bradley boasts a 3.69 cumulative GPA as a Management and Sport Management double major. 

Community Service
-The Monarch Sister's program.
-Events with the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) circle, where Bradley made dinners for families with children in hospice.
-Volunteered at the Kid's Christmas Shop, where all the money made went to CHKD.
-"Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" - raises awareness about gender and sexual violence.
-Coached 3-4 year olds at the Player Development System (PDS).
-Collection of plastic bags and the Christmas gift box for children.

Academic Achievements
-Seven-time Dean’s List recipient.
-Named to C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll every year. 

Athletic Achievements
-Two-time team captain.
-Scored two goals this past season … both were game-winners.
-Appeared in 77 matches throughout her career, scoring five goals and 11 points.
-In 2015, she scored three goals on six attempted shots.
