NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion men's soccer team volunteered at Hospitality for the Homeless this past weekend and helped manage a warehouse move.

"We are grateful for the friendships driving our program's gift and the volunteer time and helping hands provided over the years by our community partners," said Hospitality for the Homeless Founder & President Brian Friedman. "With the help of board member ODU Mens Soccer Head Coach Alan Dawson, Assistant Coach William Yomby and the student athletes of ODU Men's Soccer, we orchestrated our warehouse move. The move involving the transfer of several thousand pounds of donated sundries- soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste and disposable razors, could not have been accomplished without their volunteer support and can do attitude."

Hospitality For the Homeless is a non-profit agency serving those in need across Hampton Roads with no cost year-round toiletries care kit support. They receive donated amenities from inventory partners nationally, including hotels and resorts, dentists, orthodontists, retailers and manufacturers, as well as from the public.
"We enjoyed our time volunteering with Hospitality for The Homeless as it is for a great cause here in our community, said head coach Alan Dawson. "It reinforces to our young people that there are those amongst us who are less fortunate and volunteering our time makes their lives more comfortable."
