Lacrosse Welcomes Villanova for Big East Play Saturday

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (3-10, 0-1 Big East) lacrosse team is set to return home for a 1 p.m. draw on Saturday, April 6 as they host Villanova (7-5, 1-0 Big East). This is the first meeting between the Monarchs and the Wildcats.
Glory Johnson has scored the second most goals in the league with 37. In the nation, Johnson ranks 21st. Johnson also is ranked top-10 in the nation for most free position goals per game.
Defensively, Haleigh Wurzel is 14th in the country with saves (115) and leads the Big East. Alyssa Sebesto and MK Maloney lead the team with 22 and 20 caused turnovers, respectively.
The Wildcats are coming off a 15-6 loss at No. 15 Princeton. Three of their five losses are to nationally ranked foes in No. 24 Duke, No. 17 Navy and Princeton. Three Wildcats have 20 goals or more. Leading the pack, Katie Comerford has 21 goals this season.
