Rowing Travels to Fairfax for George Mason Invite

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s rowing team is set to compete in the George Mason Invite on Sunday, April 14. The Monarchs are most recently coming off a three fifth place finishes and a sixth place finish at the Sunshine State Invitational.
ODU will compete alongside St. Joes, Duquesne, Kansas, West Virginia, Villanova, Eastern Michigan and Delaware. The format is conference based, where ODU will compete alongside their previous conference foes in the Big 12. The winner of each heat will go to the afternoon grand final, the second team will go to the petite final, and the third will be put in the third final. Finals times 1V8+ will run 12-12:30pm, 2V8+ Finals will follow from 12:30-1pm and finally the 1V4+ Finals from 1-1:30pm. The same number of points will be available in the A, B, and C finals of the varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity 4.The team with the most points at the end of competition will win.
On Sunday, ODU will race at 9:10 a.m. in the 1V8+, 9:40 a.m. in the 2V8+, 10:10 a.m. in the 1V4+ and 10:50 a.m. in the 2V4+. All four of those races will feature Kansas and West Virginia.
